BASIC BILGE CLEANER is a biodegradable, multi-purpose alkaline cleaner that emulsifies grease, dirt, oils and fuel spills. BASIC BILGE CLEANER’s biodegradable formula contains quaternary ammonium compounds that when used directly can sanitize most hard, non-porous surfaces while being gentle on the environment.

For General Cleaning: Use 2 oz (16 ml) BASIC BILGE CLEANER for every 4 feet of water line length. Add directly to the bilge water. Allow the natural motion of the boat to clean the bilge, then pump out. Repeat if necessary.
For Deck and Floor Swabbing: Use 6.4 oz per US gallon of water (50 ml/litre) (1:20) and apply with a brush or mop. Brush as required and hose down with water.
For Sanitizing Hard, Non-Porous Surfaces: 200ppm active quat. Use 4.5 oz per US gallon of water (34 ml/litre) (1:30). A suitable concentration/ppm testing method must be available and used regularly to ensure correct sanitizer levels. Sanitized surface must be air-dried. All food should be removed or covered prior to use and food contact surfaces are to be thoroughly rinsed with potable water so there will be no contamination of food as a result of its use.
