What are VOC’s? What does VOC compliant mean?
VOCs are a group of organic chemicals used in the manufacturing of cleaning solutions. These chemicals are released into the air when the product is used, creating an odor or fume. These chemicals are highly regulated and are made to be compliant or, follow, all Government Regulations and Standards for the safety of the user and the environment.

What are Safety Data Sheets (SDS)?
Safety Data Sheets are comprehensive documents that lists chemical composition, health hazards, preventative measures and ecological impacts. They instruct users in the safe handling and proper storage of the product. All Personal protective equipment and risks are also listed.

Does Project Clean offer training programs?
Yes. Our CleanSafe training program offers a variety of topics related to the Cleaning Industry including WHMIS and OSHA certification. Courses cover topics such as, floor care and maintenance, odor control, cleaning for health, washroom cleaning, health care facility cleaning and more. We emphasize safety and effective procedures to enhance the productivity and knowledge of your staff.

Are Project Cleans products compatible with all types of equipment?
All products that are intended for use in automated scrubbers, extractors or dispensing systems are safe and will do no damage to the equipment

When diluting, should I use hot or cold water?
Cold water is commonly used in dilutions and does not affect the strength or performance of the solution.

Yes. All Project Clean packaging is recyclable and many are constructed of Post-Consumer Resins and contain 10% less plastics than our original containers

What floor cleaning products does Project Clean provide?
We provide a full slate of products that relate to floor cleaning and maintenance. These include specialty solutions for sensitive and heavily soiled flooring. Visit our Floor Care category for a list of all floor care products.

Are Project Cleans floor products non-slip? How can I prevent a slippy floor after use?
All floor Finishes are tested and are compliant with anti-slip friction test standards. Cleaners and degreasers are not covered in these regulations and may cause slip and fall risk if not removed from flooring.

Can Project Cleans products be used with an automatic floor scrubber?
Most products produced by Project Clean are recommended and can be used in auto scrubbers with exception of Strippers. Floor Strippers may cause stubborn residues in the recovery tank and pick up vacuum systems if not thoroughly rinsed and drained immediately after use.

How do I prevent peeling?
Peeling occurs when an improper Finish is applied to a floor. If a hard finish is applied to a soft floor the flex of the floor will cause peeling. If a hard finish is applied over a soft finish the same flex of the soft finish will cause flaking or peeling

Does Floor Stripper leave any harsh odors?
Our floor strippers do not leave any harsh or noxious odours and have no added fragrance

Do I need to do anything to prep my floor before applying floor care products? If so, what are these steps?
All dry material should be removed by sweeping and /or vacuuming before any floor care product is applied. If a floor finish is to be applied, a wet clean should be performed and allowed to dry before application.

How long can Floor Finish extend the life of my floors?
This will be determined by proper application of appropriate finish for the traffic and abuse the floor may be subjected to. Our floor Finishes will extend the life and appearance of any floor for an extensive period compared to non-finished flooring.

What surfaces can Project Cleans floor care products be used on? Are there any surfaces in which these products should not be used?
All our Floor Care products are formulated for use on a variety of flooring. Some of these formulations have been designed for specific floor care and sensitive flooring materials. Knowing the specific type of flooring and the type of results wanted will dictate the choice of product. Always consult the flooring Manufacturers warranty or recommendations to insure a proper selection.

Do your floor finishes’ yellow?
All our finishes have been specially formulated not to yellow under normal conditions and proper application. Unusual internal or external environment conditions may compromise these safeguards over an extended period of time.

What germs do Project Cleans disinfectants kill?
Our comprehensive array of disinfectants is designed to eliminate a wide variety of germs, bacteria and fungi. These solutions are broad spectrum and offer strengths for specific infections while being active on a broad scale. Care should be given on choosing a disinfectant that will be appropriate for the infection that is to be treated.

Do Project Cleans disinfectants leave a harmful residue?
All disinfectants will leave a residue and instructions in proper use and application will advise rinsing with potable water on food surfaces as well as surfaces of high human contact. A program of sanitization and cleaning should be implemented in conjunction with a disinfecting process to insure the effectiveness of the solution’s target.

Are Project Clean Disinfectants effective against cold and flu viruses? Are they effective against H1N1?
Yes, we have solutions that are effective on many viruses. Disinfectants have limits to their effectiveness on every germ, bacteria or virus. Always consult the product information sheet or efficacy list, to determine which solution is appropriate for your needs and the specific infectant that is to be treated.

Do the Project Clean disinfectants create harsh odors or fumes?
All our Disinfectants have been designed not to have an unpleasant affect on the areas being treated. Some may have a mild scent or citrus odor but not at levels that will impact an indoor environment. If personal sensitivities are a concern, we have an alternative to accommodate these challenges.

What surfaces can the disinfectants be used on?
Disinfectants can be used on any non-porous surface that is not normally sensitive to water. Soft fibres cannot be disinfected by just topical treatments and must be immersed in a bath of disinfectant or laundered with an appropriate method and chemicals. If there are any doubts of damage to a surface, first test in an inconspicuous area for results.

Can Project Cleans disinfectants be used on sensitive surfaces?
No Rinse Sanitizers can be safely used on any inanimate surfaces that are not affected by water. They cannot be used for any object that may possibly enter the human body or come in contact with the blood stream or normally sterile parts of the body. It may only be used to decontaminate medical devices prior to sterilization.
