Washroom Clean Natural: Built from food waste

Every washroom cleaner claims to cut through soap film and hard water scale. Ours does, and it does it with an ingredient that used to be thrown away. Washroom Clean Natural is the newest product in our Natural Line, and it’s built on the same food-waste biosurfactant technology behind the rest of the lineup: real performance, with a supply chain that starts at a landfill instead of an oil well.

Why it’s good

Washroom Clean Natural is a mild acidic formula (pH2.1-2.5) purpose built for what builds up in a washroom: soap film, body oils, makeup residue, and mineral scale from hard water. We built it with plant-based, biodegradable ingredients and a biosurfactant technology we developed with our Canadian partner Dispersa – where they turned food waste into a high performing cleaning ingredient in place of petroleum, with no compromise on cleaning power.

How it’s better than our old formula

This isn’t a like for like swap with a “natural” label slapped on. Our lab testing on the Dispersa powered Natural Line found it degreases more effectively at moderate pH ranges than traditional bio-based formulas, which typically struggle on cleaning power. It also leaves a streak-free finish that outperforms conventional cleaners built on ethoxylated alcohols. On the sustainability side, the concentrate is formulated at roughly 2.5 times the strength of a conventional product, so fewer containers ship for the same amount of cleaning – less packaging, less plastic, lower freight. And we’ve removed synthetic dyes and fragrance across the line, adding scent only from essential oils where a product needs one.

How and where to use it

Washroom Clean Natural is rated for basins, showers, bowls, urinals, toilets, faucets, tiles, shower stalls and trash areas. Apply with a sprayer, hand bucket, swab, brush, microfibre wipe, or mechanical sprayer, let it sit briefly to break down soils and hard water deposits, then wipe or scrub with a mild abrasive pad if needed. Rinsing typically isn’t necessary. It also polishes high gloss chrome and stainless fixtures and lifts stubborn stains from ceramic tile and grout. On sensitive surfaces like marble, test an inconspicuous area first.

Who it’s for

Healthcare facilities: fast, reliable turnover on shared washrooms between patients, with a formula that doesn’t compromise on hygiene standards.

Hospitality: housekeeping teams covering guest room washrooms across back-to-back checkouts need a fixture cleaner that keeps chrome and tile looking new, fast.

Education: custodial teams handling high-traffic school washrooms between class periods, where the same bottle needs to work on urinals, stalls and faucets.

Food service: public washrooms that need to stay guest-ready through a full service shift, including the trash area.

Government and transportation facilities: high-traffic public washrooms that get cleaned across multiple shifts, where consistent results matter more than which format is on the cart.

The bottom line

Washroom Clean Natural proves the sustainability story and the performance story don’t have to compete – it’s a fixture cleaner we built on food-waste innovation that still gets the job done on soap film, scale and stubborn stains. It’s part of our Natural Line – our approach to cleaner chemistry, real performance, built without compromise.
