SCALE AWAY is an acid cleaner designed to remove hard water scale build-up on most steel, stainless steel, glass, fiberglass, plastic, concrete and ceramic surfaces. SCALE AWAY can also remove the unsightly deposits from soap scum, mineral deposits and rust build-up on many surfaces including toilet bowls, urinals, shower stalls, and sinks. SCALE AWAY contains special inhibitors, which prevent corrosion to steel and stainless-steel metals while allowing the scale deposits to be dissolved.

Directions for Use

Heavy deposits: Dilute SCALE AWAY at 1000 ml per litre of water (128 oz /gallon) (1:1) and scrub the surface with an acid-resistant brush. Rinse thoroughly with water and repeat if necessary. 

Light to medium scale deposits: Dilute SCALE AWAY at 250 ml per litre of water (20 oz/gallon) (1:4) and apply solution with an acid-resistant brush or swab. When using SCALE AWAY on cement, rinse and neutralize with a solution of Soda Ash. 

Dishwashers: 
Add 250 ml of SCALE AWAY directly to dish machine and run one wash and rinse cycle to maintain scale-free surfaces. If heavy scale is present, use up to 500mL per cycle to descale. If deposit is heavy, scrub surface with a brush. Wipe up any excess solution and discard. Rinse thoroughly with water. In difficult cases, repeat the application if necessary. 

FOR USE IN FOOD PLANTS: All food should be removed or covered prior to use and food contact surfaces are to be thoroughly rinsed with potable water so there will be no contamination of food as a result of its use.
