Directions for Use
Covers up to 3000 square feet per gallon minimum depending on application method and porosity of floor.
General Application:
- Completely strip all old wax or finish with a finish remover such as #1 REMOVER or FINISH REMOVER.
- Remove the stripping solution and follow with one or two clear-water rinses. Allow floor to dry.
- For extra durability, two coats of FLOOR SEALER or HOLDOUT can be applied but is not required.
- Apply MIRAGE in a uniform, thin coat. Let dry thoroughly for 20 to 30 minutes depending upon the surrounding air flow, temperature and humidity. Do not apply additional coats until surface is dry to the touch. Apply additional coats following the same techniques. Applying three to five coats is optimum.
General Maintenance:
- Dust mop or sweep floor as necessary with a clean dust mop.
- Damp mop using a neutral pH floor cleaner such as NEUTRAL CLEAN or NEUTRAPOWER
- High traffic areas can be quickly repaired between finish applications by using a mop on restorer like ARMOR-ACE, MAXICOAT or FLOOR FINISH 18. High traffic lanes can be recoated as needed.
- Heavily soiled areas can be machine scrubbed using HD FLOOR CLEAN at the recommended dilutions and the appropriate floor scrubbing pad.
Burnishing:
Burnish as desired to maintain gloss using burnish pad.
TIP: A sealer is not required, but if you have a very porous floor it may be advantageous to apply HOLDOUT or FLOOR SEALER. Two coats are often sufficient.
